Terms of Use.
These terms cover your use of SureKitchen, the food safety record-keeping software provided by Younify Tech Limited, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 15449518 and trading as SureKitchen™. We've written them in plain English so a café owner can read them in one sitting.
1. What SureKitchen is
SureKitchen is a record-keeping and guidance tool. It helps you organise your food safety records, build a Food Safety Management System document, generate inspection packs, and keep printable posters and SOPs on file. It is not a substitute for an EHO, a food safety consultant, formal training, or a probe.
2. You are the food business operator
By using SureKitchen you confirm you are the food business operator (or an authorised representative of one) and that you remain solely responsible for:
- Compliance with UK food safety law, including Regulation (EC) 852/2004 and the Food Safety & Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013.
- The accuracy of every record you create in the app — temperatures, checklists, allergen information, supplier details, photos and notes.
- Training and supervising your team, including allergen awareness under Natasha's Law and the Food Information Regulations 2014.
- Decisions you make based on the data in the app.
- Keeping your probes, thermometers and pH equipment calibrated and in date.
3. Your account and access
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. If you give a team member access, you're responsible for what they do under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone has access to your account who shouldn't.
You do not need an account to use the public FSMS Builder. When you choose to generate a document, the builder submits the answers and contact details shown in the review step so we can provide the service and follow up. The separate marketing choice is optional.
4. Your records are yours
Every record you enter — logs, photos, dishes, suppliers, documents — is yours. You can export them at any time, as PDFs or CSVs, including after you cancel. We don't sell your data, we don't show you ads, and we don't share your records with third parties except where strictly necessary to provide the service (e.g. our hosting and payment providers). See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
5. Subscription, trial and cancellation
SureKitchen is a paid subscription service. You can pay £29 per kitchen per month or £290 per kitchen per year (two months free compared with the monthly rate). Both prices exclude VAT. You can cancel any time from the billing portal. If you cancel mid-month, access continues until the end of the month you've paid for. If you cancel within 14 days of an annual prepayment we'll refund the unused portion pro-rata; after 14 days, the annual prepayment is non-refundable but you keep access until the end of the year you've paid for. We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice — you'll see this on the billing screen and by email.
If a trial is offered, the terms of that trial (length, whether a card is required) are shown to you when you sign up.
6. What we will and won't do
We'll make reasonable efforts to keep the app working, accurate to current UK food safety guidance, and available when you need it. We're a small team — sometimes things break. We'll communicate openly when they do.
We don't guarantee that the app will fit every kitchen's process, that it will produce a particular EHO rating, or that it will always be available without interruption. The 5-star rating is something kitchens earn — we provide the tool, you do the work.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, our liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of SureKitchen is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We do not limit liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under UK law.
We are not liable for any food safety incident, customer illness, allergic reaction, EHO finding, FHRS rating, fine, prosecution, or commercial loss that results from how you operate your kitchen, the accuracy of the records you enter, or decisions you make based on those records.
8. Ending your access
You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing. We can suspend or end your access if you breach these terms in a serious way (for example, using the app for an unlawful purpose) — we'll give you reasonable notice unless that isn't possible. If we end your access, your records can be exported on request for 30 days afterwards.
9. Changes to these terms
We'll keep the latest version here and in the app's Settings. If we change anything material, we'll tell you in-app or by email. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it; if you don't, you can cancel.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of England & Wales.
